How to make any city in blender

Step 1 download and activate the blender-osm addon from github using the link bellow ↓   https://gumroad.com/l/blender-osm     Step 2 open the addon (NOTE this works offline but works better online) Step 3 Open google osm  Step 4 Search the city which you want to make to make in blender  Step 5 Highlight a selection that suits your requirement  Step 6 Press download and the selection will download  Step 7 Open blender select the OSM addon and select the directory with the city you just downloaded and select the city you downloaded Step 8 Download materials from Textures.com or some other website such as texture haven    Step 9 Enter edit mode and start uv unwrapping and texturing the buildings  Step 10 THERE YOU GO YOU HAVE A CITY  If you have open water sources in the city you just made then change the water material using the inbuilt material library addon that comes with blender or use any other suitable sort of water material  Hope you liked this tutorial

How to make a metal cage in blender v1

The steps in case the video was not intuitive enough Step 1  Add a cube to the scene  Step 2  Subdivide the cube twice  Step 3  Enter edit mode  Step 4  Enable wire frame modifier     😖At this point it looks like a cage but it is probably too thin for most animations and renders so that brings us to the next stage Step 5  Activate the skin modifier  Step 6  Enter edit mode Step 6  Adjust the thickness of the cube by using control A while in edit mode until you are satisfied with the result  Step 7 Add a new material to the cube which at this point looks like a metal cage  Step 8 At this you have more creative freedom you can add colour to the cage using which ever option suits you the most of the list bellow  Option 1 use the color wheel  Option 2 Use a colour ramp   Option 3 which might be the easiest and most accurate use metal textures Option 4 Use a mix shader that has a glossy shader with roughness set to 0 mixed with another glossy shader with a Fresnel added to the strength val
